Diana May

AMFT #122064

Hi there! My name is Diana May and I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Tristanne Gallardo-Stewart, M.A., LMFT, LPCC.

Starting therapy can be a vulnerable step, and I want you to know—you’re not alone in it. My intention is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and respected, exactly as you are. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, or just feeling stuck, we’ll work together to understand the deeper layers of your experiences and gently move toward healing.

My approach is collaborative and rooted in curiosity. I draw from Psychodynamic Therapy to help uncover how past relationships and patterns may be showing up in the present, often without us realizing it. At the same time, I incorporate Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to help you stay grounded in the now and build tools that support emotional flexibility, self-compassion, and resilience. For clients processing trauma or distressing memories, I offer EMDR as a powerful option for deeper healing.

As a therapist, I value the complexity of each person’s identity. I work with individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds, and I hold a special space for BIPOC clients whose experiences are often overlooked or misunderstood. I bring a whole-person perspective into the room—honoring not just your mind, but your body, culture, relationships, and story.
